Science Communication and Your Career"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are many reasons to advocate for open science. In your line of work, you may already be doing it. You may publish your preprint articles in an online repository, or you may open up and share your datasets, for example. This means that if you are a government employee, or an academic applying for government grant funding, your ability to communicate your science to others in order to ensure transparency matters, both to the public and to your employer.<\/p>\n<p>What you may not already know is that opening up your science can also help you grow your career and profile as a scientist.
