Writing Through the Climate Emergency

Hello! My name is Laura Heidenheim (she/her). I am a settler of mixed European and German Jewish ancestry, born and raised in London Ontario the traditional territory of the Anishinabek, Haudenosaunee and Delaware Peoples – currently living in downtown Tkaronto.

I am interested in co-creation, human centred design & anti-oppressive methodologies. Excited by where research and design meet community building.

I am passionate about leading projects which centre lived experience and foster systemic change. Over the last five years I have been co-creating and managing projects which are rooted in anti-racism, community building, culture and education. My work has spanned from the creation of a community-based exhibit, piloting and designing new educational programming and managing large scale projects.

I am writing this blog as a student in the Royal Roads, Climate Action Leadership Program and excited to share my thinking over the course of my learning.
