Hi there 😊
Welcome to my little corner! My name is Sam, and I’m here to share with you my journey with tourism and how tourism changed my life. I was born in Hanoi, Vietnam, where I have lived in for the first 25 years of my life. I graduated from university with two bachelor degrees in Accounting and Finance as I followed my family’s aspiration, but deep down in my heart, I always knew that I longed for something else.Â
Then a part-time job as a motorbike tour guide opened my eyes to a new world called tourism. Driving tourists around Hanoi, talking to them about my lovely city, about life and travelling made me realized how much I was into tourism – a field that I was not even thinking of getting into at the first place. The longer I worked, the more I loved how tourism gave me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, to share with them my culture and also to learn from theirs. After 2 years of working different jobs in the tourism field, I decided to broaden my tourism knowledge by going abroad. For the last 2 years, Canada, Victoria, and Royal Roads University have been my home.

Moving abroad by far has been the best decision of my life as I got to see, to hear and to experience the best of the world that I’m living in. My work, my love for traveling, volunteering and living with passions have contributed to the person I am today. Through this site, I am excited to share with the world my journey ahead as a successful tourism graduate.Â
